Movie Review: "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol"

(Spoiler alerts possible)
All the hype and produced by Tom Cruise himself (according to opening credits), tonight, I present to you my review of the fourth installment of Mission: Impossible.

I guess he's accepting the mission...

It opens with a chase/agents/gun-action and ends with "Your mission, should you choose to accept it...", but I can say this: there is a merge between this movie and Tron as far as the "hot car of the movie" goes. The BMW i8 is ballpark $200k and is sure to turn heads downtown, but following in the foot-tracks of the M.I. cars that came before it, comes to a tragic end in a head-on collision.

Action-wise, I suppose I'd have to agree with the other critics in my party that it was more realistic in that the gadgets were fallible. However, I've got to shop wherever Agent Brandt bought his pants.

The "hot chick" was above average but no Kate Beckinsale. Despite my personal opinion of attractiveness, I think Paula Patton fit the role perfectly, as well as each of the other characters. No complaints on the acting, but Tom Cruise needs a haircut.

The story was decent but it didn't really blow my mind. I miss the endings where the antagonist gets to see Tom Cruise making his great escape. The horror of his failure is the best revenge you can give a bad guy. But my favorite M.I. ending remains:

I wouldn't go out of my way to see this movie, but if the chance comes your way, it's not a terrible choice.
